Alanis

• My husband's middle name is Alan, so I think it would be a neat way to indirectly name a daughter after him
• My favorite name is Alanis! Why? Well, first and foremost she's my favorite singer, so that helps, but I think it's such a unique name and it's so beautiful! It sounds kind of spiritual and Hippie-ish mixed into one... I'm weird, I know, but I love Alanis and her name!

The most famous Alanis is probably Alanis Morisette, the Canadian musician (born 1974). She was named after her father, Alan. In the USA, the name Alanis first appeared in 1995, coinciding with the release of Morisette's first internationally released album Jagged Little Pill.
