Amariah

(ah-mah-REE-ah) This is a male bibical name, but for me, it's feminine and beautiful.

In the Bible, Amariah is the name of several minor Old Testament characters. It comes from Hebrew meaning "Yahweh has said." It has not been used regularly for boys since the Social Security Administration began keeping track of names in 1880. However, Amariah has been used for girls in the USA since at least 1980. It became more popular in the mid 2000s, probably due to the popularity of similar names like Amara, Amaya, and Mariah.
