Amber

• Amber Louise: I love this name, it is very feminine. I am 16 years old and I have chosen this name for my first daughter. It is a lovely name it's sounds smart although is cute.
• Amber Renee - Amber is a not-so-common name, but it is pretty, and when one thinks of amber, they think of a semi-rare stone...it would be nice to be thought of as rare and precious. Renee is also not a very common name, but I think it adds a feminine touch to the slightly more sporty Amber.

Amber is a gemstone made from fossilized tree resin. It was first used as a name in the 19th century, when gemstone names like Ruby, Pearl, and Beryl were popular. Unlike the other names though, which declined after the early 20th century, Amber's popularity peaked in the mid 1980s.
