• Sounds so masculine!  
• A nice alternative to Andrew. One of the few common names I like.

• Andre Jean-Pierre:  Because of my French background I love the french flared names. Of course he may sound out of place if not in France.

André is the French form of Andrew. In the USA, it is also found with the spellings Ondré, Aundré, Andrae, Andray, Ondray etc. More popular in African-American communities than any other, a common pet form is Dre.
