Ansley

Ansley Eden: We liked Ansley because it's uncommon but not difficult to pronounce. Very classy, feminine. Similar to Ashley but so not overused like Ashley is. Eden because it's a cool name that means "pleasure" easy to pronounce, but again, not all that common.

Ansley comes from an English place name (also recorded as Hanesli, Ansteley and may be the same as Anslow). It is derived from Old English ansetl "hermitage" + leah "meadow; field; clearing; wood." As a girls' name, it has been quietly used since the 1960s, taking off in popularity in the 1990s with the rise of surname-names like Ashley. Ainsley is another, more popular variant.
