Atticus
- "To Kill A Mockingbird" is all I need to say...what a unique name.
- I've loved this name ever since i read To Kill a Mocking Bird. I always picture a male named Atticus as intelligent and prominent.
- It is from my favorite book, To Kill a Mockingbird. It is an unseal name that I associate with Integrity, strength of character, and tolerance.
- Atticus Bear-Like most people, I got this name from the book "To
kill a Mockingbird." There are several reasons why I like it. First of all, I love Gregory Peck. I don't think anyone else could have played the part of Atticus Finch in the movie. Also, the character of Atticus Finch is the kind of man that I would hope to raise if I have a son. Lastly, I just think it's a beautiful name. I went to middle school with a guy named Atticus, and his nickname was Ticus (pronounced TEEK-us), which I really like... If I have a son, his middle name will be Bear because that is my maiden name and I am an only child, and a daughter, so I would like my father's name to live on in some way.
- Atticus Lawson
This name reminds me of a dusty teddy bear in an attic. One which has been well loved and is ready for loving again. This name just conjures up images of a sweet boy with a great smile, personality, looks and attitude to life. Someone who you'd love to know. I chose the middle name of Lawson because I think it flows really well with Atticus.
This name comes from the name of a Roman district, with Athens as its capital. As everyone has mentioned, it was used by Harper Lee's 1960 novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Though Atticus was used for boys sporadically throughout the 20th century, it didn't hot the U.S. top 7000 consistently until the 2000s. As of 2012 it is more popular than it ever has been in the past.
