Avonlea

• I believe one of the best names I have heard for a little girl is Avonlea...I like this name because it gives a twist to the ever popular Ava. I have had 3 friends name their daughters born this year Ava.
• (pronounced AH-von-lee) It's different, it sounds like a fairytale and it's very feminine.

Avonlea is the fictional town in Prince Edward Island created by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874-1942) for her Anne of Green Gables series. As a girls' name, it's been in use since 1990 in the USA, probably due to the television series Road to Avonlea (1990-1996)
