Bastien

From Sebastian, obviously. I got this derivative from the movie The Neverending Story. My mom thinks it's too close to "bastard." You decide.

Bastian is a short form of Sebastian. It is rarely used in English, but was brought to public attention by the German author Michael Ende, who used it for his protagonist in his novel The Neverending Story, which was made into an American movie in 1984.
