Bernard
- I first heard this name when I was about four, I think, in the Tim Allen movie The Santa Clause. Bernard was one of the elves at the North Pole (the leader or such, I think, but I haven't seen the movie in forever, so don't quote me on that). But anyway, I loved the elf and the name to death-in fact, I named the teddy bear I got for Christmas that year Bernard. (Funnily enough, I've heard it means "bold as a bear." Go figure.) The name has stuck with me all those years. My favorite combination is Bernard Vincent.
- Strong, yet cute.
Bernard comes from germanic elements meaning "bear" and "brave; hardy."
