Blair

• Not too many girls today have the name Blair. The name Blair is a name to grow up with. It's not a cutesy name like Rosemary Jane (sorry if this is your name - I dislike it!).
• Simple and lovely. I liked it long before the movie, The Blair Witch Project.

Blair started out a Scottish surname derived from the word blár meaning "plain; battlefield." It was originally used mostly for boys until the 1980s when surname names starting being popular for girls. The character of Blair Warner on the 1980s sitcom Facts of Life helped give it a feminine face.
