Brendan

• A great alternative to the more popular Brandon. I believe it means "prince" in Irish Gaelic. I think it sounds strong and sensitive at the same time, and perhaps a little artistic. It is a name that will wear well with time and that will sound good through all stages of life.

• Brendan Patrick: Brendan is a good guy, sweet, honest and down-to-earth. We got married at Saint Brendan's Church - so the name has always held a special meaning to us. We'd always agreed that if we had children - the first boy would be named Brendan. I love the name Michael (I married one!) and think the two names go very well together! Daddy later asked that the middle name be Patrick after his Father, Francis Patrick.
