Brooke

Brooke Ava Brooke is a girl who taught me how to love, how to live and how to dream. Enough said, she deserves to be on my list and I have made a pact with myself to name my daughter Brooke. Ava is a name my mother and I both love and if we agree on a name, it belongs here.

Brooke was originally an English surname denoting someone who lived near a brook or stream. As a girls' name, it came into use in the 1930s, though its popularity came in the 1960s with the rise to fame of Roberta Brooke Russell Astor "Brooke Astor", a noted socialite. It was further made popular by actress Brooke Shields (born 1965) in the 1980s.
