Calum

Calum Michael: The first name is pronounced, "Kay-lum." I like Cal for short... Overall, it flows nicely.

Calum is usually pronounced /CALL um/, and is a Scottish Gaelic form of Columba, which is Latin for "dove." However, in the past decade or two people have started pronouncing it /KAY lum/ and using spellings like Kaylum, Caelum (possibly inspired by the Latin caelum meaning "heaven"), Cailym etc. and as such it gets lumped into the modern trend of two-syllable names with a long A followed by -e + consonant (Jacob, Caleb, Jaden/Caden/Aidan, etc.)
