Celia
- this is the perfect compromise between the overly common and the obscure. Everybody has heard of this name but few people have it. Plus it makes me think of sunshine and the bright blue sky.
- Just another version of Cecelia, which I then shortened again.
- Celia-Petra: I saw this on a German name site. I thought it made a pretty combo and if you think about it it means: "heavenly rock," which is kind of a cool meaning.
Celia is not actually related to the name Cecilia. It is a form of the Roman name Caelius, which is possibly derived from caelum meaning "Heaven." Cecilia comes from the Latin caecilius, meaning "blind."
