Chantilly

(shan-ti-lee) This was the name of a character, Chantilly Lace, in a book I read. I'd never heard it before but since then I loved it.

Chantilly lace is a type of lace, usually black in color, which is made in Chantilly, France starting around the 17th century. It was popularized in the 1958 song of the same name by The Big Bopper. It is also the name of a perfume introduced in 1941.
