Charmian
pronounced Shar-ME-in. She was an attendant to Cleopatra, and so this name kind of represents loyalty. A cute nickname would be Shar-me (Charmy). Charmian Carr played Liesl in the Sound of Music also.
Charmian is the form of Charmion used by William Shakespeare for his 1606 play Antony & Cleopatra. The name is based on a historical servant of Cleopatra that was recorded by Plutarch. The name derives from charma, Greek for "delight."
