Chiron

(KYE-run) Mythology: Chiron was a centaur, also a physician and prophet of Achilles (as in "heel") and Jason (as in "and the Argonauts"). When he was wounded incurably he gave his immortality to Prometheus before he died, then Zeus turned him into the constellation Sagittarius. It is a good name, has a great meaning with a masculine sound and is unusual without being really wacky.

In Greek mythology, Chiron was a centaur who was famous for his knowledge and skill as a physician. His name derives from Ancient Greek Kheiron meaning "hands."
