- Same strong feminine appeal. It's my final Christ- name choice. I like Christina and Christine, but they're common, Christabel, but it's long, Christy, but it's informal, and Christel, but it looks like a creative spelling of Crystal. Christa is the soloution to my dilemma.
- Christa-Beata: this is a German name and its a combo of Christa and Beata, it means "blessed and annointed." I think it makes a very pretty and unique name.
Christa was originally a Danish and German short form of Christina. However, it is more often used on its own in English.
