"Allons Danser Colinda" is the name of a famous Cajun folk song about a boy asking a girl named Colinda to dance a risqué dance while her mother is out. The dance may have been based on Calinda, a martial art/dance/type of Caribbean music that evolved in the 1720s from African forms of stick-fighting.
