Cora

• The strong C at the beginning grabs your attention while altogether it flows like the ocean.
• I heard this in a movie once and just fell in love with it.
• A name that is beautiful at every age. My daughter is named Cora after her Grandmother, Carol, who was named after her Grandmother Cora.
• Cora Therese: as a lover of the ocean I could not pass up the name cora which sounds so much like coral.  Therese (the little flower girl) is after my cousins middle name.

James Fenimore Cooper coined this name for his novel 'The Last of the Mohicans' (1826). It may be from the Greek word for 'maiden,' (the name Corinne also stems from this root).
