Easter

The pagan fertility festival turned Christian holiday. In the Neil Gaiman novel American Gods, Easter is the human personification of fertility goddesses and rites. She has a chain of blue forget-me-nots tattooed around her wrist. Tori Amos also makes reference to a male Easter in her song 'Crucify:' "Knew a cat named Easter, he said 'Will you ever learn? You're just an empty cage, girl, if you kill the bird.'" This name conjures up images of flowers, spring and the gentler side of Mother Nature.
