Elara
- {pronounced (eeh-lahr-ah) This is the name of one of Jupiter's Moons. It is also from Greek Mythology. Supposedly Elara and Zeus were the parents of the giant, Tityus. I think it is wispy, kind, and underused. In fact, I've never heard of anyone with this name.
- 'Elara' is the name of a very, very good friend of mine, and is supposedly also one of the moons of Jupiter. It's a girl's name, and pronounced (kinda obviously) Ee-lah-ra.
In Greek mythology, Elara was a lover of Zeus who died in childbirth giving birth to Zeus' baby, the giant Tityus. it is also the name of a moon of Jupiter, which was named for this character.
