Faber

A variant of the Latin 'Fabian,' meaning 'bean farmer.' Extremely rare, and sounds lovely. This was the name of a carpenter on the show Trading Spaces. He was of Scottish descent, so perhaps it's more common in Scotland than here in the States.

Faber is a surname used in English, which comes from the French surname Fèvre or Le Fèvre. This surname was originally used to denote an iron-worker.
