Harry
- This name has always had an evil, gothic edge to it, mostly because of the movie, but that's what makes it such a great name. It's sinister with just a little bit of cuteness mixed in.
- What's not to love about Harry? It's so friendly.
- An underused name with lots of old-fashioned charm. I'm just wild about Harry!
- I like the name Harry mostly because of Harry Potter. It’s given the name such a bright, youthful image, and Harry Potter is such a respectable literary figure. I used to think of Harry as a construction worker, a grumpy old man, or a saxophone player in a jazz club. I still think of Harry as a jazz player, but I think of Harry Potter’s image more.
Harry started out life as a medieval pet form of the name Henry. In modern times it is also used as a diminutive of Harold and Harrison.
