Honor

Honor is an English word, coming from Latin meaning "honor." Hono(u)r in that form was first used as a name by the Puritans in the 17th century. Before that names derived from the same source, such as Honorata and Honora were used, but this was the first time Hono(u)r was used in that form. The most famous Honor is probably Honor Blackman, the British actress who played Pussy Galore in the James Bond movie Goldfinger.
