Hopper

I like the name Hopper for a girl. It has an innocent tomboy quality about it, however, it also carries a certian degree of mischief. I am sure I will find her covered in mud as the bus is leaving for school and choke down a laugh instead of choking her. :)

Hopper was first brought to public attention as a name by the American actors Robin Wright-Penn and Sean Penn, who named their son Hopper Jack in 1993. He was named in honor American actor Dennis Hopper. Since then it has shown up occasionally as a name (most often for boys), though it was not in the top 7000 for either gender in 2010. Hopper comes from an English surname originally denoting one who harvests hops.
