Huck came to the public eye as the nickname of Huckleberry Finn, a character in Mark Twain's 1896 novel Tom Sawyer. He also appeared in three more books, including The Adventures of Hucklberry Finn. Since then, Huckleberry and Huck have been used occasionally as names.
