Isaac
- Biblical and popular and just fantastic. I don't know what I like so much about the name, I really don't. It seems timeless and classic and also unusual and unique. There is also the bonus of the pet name Ike. Middle name would be Alonzo.
- It's an old name, with a great meaning (laughter), and an adorable nickname: Ike.
- I am so sad that this name is so popular because I love it. It is strong and centered. I might spell it Isaak, just to jazz it up a bit.
- Very strong and sophisticated sounding.
- means laughing, who could think of a better trait to bestow upon a child?
- Isaac ScottMy grandfather was Isaac, my husband's middle is Scott. It is original enough, but not off the wall.
An Old Testament name, Isaac is traditionally thought to come from the Hebrew Yitzchaq meaning "he laughs," though it may be a much older name whose true origins are obscure.
