Isabel

• Mostly because I love to study royalty, and I love studying Isabel I.
• Someone once wrote me a poem about an invisible friend called "Invisible Isabel" and that's when the beauty of the name struck me.
• just one of the most beautiful names around, being consecrated to god is such a wonderful meaning, she will definitely feel special. Also it doesn't end in a vowel, I think that is really classy.
• I just love the sound of it.
• Isabel Sky: I think the name Isabel is quite regal and feminine, while also having a degree of contemporary "funkiness" about it; Sky was never a favorite of mine for use as a first name, but I was trying to think of some way to incorporate my love for nature, particularly the ocean and the sky, into my [future] child's name, and I really like the way it works as a middle name beside Isabel. Also, Isabel can be shortened to "Izzy" (if one was so wont to do that).

Isabel was originally a medieval Provençal form of Elizabeth. From there it spread throughout France, Spain and Portgual where it was common among royalty. From there it became used throughout Europe.
