Janessa, also found as Jannessa, is a 20th century coinage based on Jan/Jane + the -essa ending. Janessa
well partly because it is my own name, but not many people seem to have heard of it, its the best :). It comes from both the Scottish word Jane and the Greek word Vanessa, meaning Butterfly - both of which are my immediate heritage, so this it my fav girls name.
