Jason

In the New Testament, the name Jason is most likely a translation of Yeheshua, from which the name Joshua also comes. The translation was most likely influenced by the Greek name Iason (English: Jason), the character from mythology who sailed the ship Argo and found the Golden Fleece. In this form, the name is derived from the Greek iasthai, which means "to heal."
