Jay means "victory" in Sanskrit, and is often given to boys in India. However, its used in the English speaking world started out as it being a short form of James, Jason, or other names beginning with J. Jay
nice sounding and fun to say. Also one of my favorite birds, and my favorite letter of the alphabet. It's got a really nice feel to it.
