[JESS-a-mee] is the Hebrew translation of "Jasmine" - a fun and perky alternative to the overused Jasmine, Jessica, Jess, Amy, etc. I think this is a girl who has some sass, is sweet at heart and spends a lot of her life smiling.

Jessamy is a form of Jessamine, an archaic English form of Jasmine. I don't think it has anything to do with Hebrew as the poster suggested.
