my favourite band ever are good charlotte and that is a member.
Not very common, but a pretty good name.
a boy's name and not unusual. This is my son's name. I think it's very strong but also concise. One problem, though, with naming a baby this name, is that some kids take ages to learn how to pronounce 'J'. My son has only just learned to do it and before that he told everybody his name was 'Doel'. Which is just not the same.
a simple Biblical name (Joel is my favourite book in the Bible) that sounds melodic but still has a certain strength about it.
I've never met a Joel who wasn't a nice guy. I think a Joel would be a "boy-next-door" type. I also like the simplicity of this name and that it's not overly common.
One of my best friends was named Joel and he died suddenly a few years back.
Joel Christian - Joel is a great biblical name that's not common, but not out there. Christian is a name I love and it goes great with Joel.

Joel comes from the Hebrew Yo'el meaning "Yahweh is God."
