Jude

Jude is a form of Judah, which comes from the Hebrew Yehudah meaning "praised." Jude has long been a popular name with Catholics in honor of St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes. In the 20th century, Jude was better known for being the subject of the 1968 song "Hey Jude" by the Beatles. It was written by Paul McCartney for John Lennon's son Julian. When making it up, McCartney originally had it "hey, Jules" but later thought that "Jude" sounded better.
