People drive me bonkers. This is my mother’s name. It’s beautiful and never represented as such. The only way I can EVER see it is spelled different and pronounced different (JA-nell instead of JU-nell) (ex., Janell, Janelle, Jenelle, Genell, Ginelle, etc…)
