Kenwyn

All I have been able to learn about this name is that it is meant to be a girl's name. I didn't make it up, I found it in a book of old Catholic names, which leads me to believe the first owner of this name was a saint.

This may be an anglicization of the Welsh name Ceinwen /KINE wen/ or /KAIN wen/-- there was a 6th Century Welsh saint named Ceinwen. Her name derives from cein "beautiful" and gwen meaning "white; pure; holy."
