- (with an 'e') I fell in love with this name when I was about ten and saw Xzanadau for the first time with Oliva Newton-John. When I fell pregnant I went through all the name books and nearly changed it heaps of times but I am so glad that I stuck to it as it is one of my all time favourite names. Pretty and feminine.
- ...pronounced with a long "i" sound (like in the name Ira)...NOT the way usually pronounced...with an "ear" sound. It is unique and has such a sweet sound. I named my second daughter Kira Vonn.
Kira is the usual transliteration of the Russian name Kira, a form of Kyra.
