This is my name and, dammit, I like it. I know it's not unusual or flashy, but it has a fresh sort of Norse sound and it's very versatile. It's sort of compact and simple but still happy.
Kristen is a Danish and Norwegian form of Christian/Christina. In Norway, Kristen is the male form, and Kristin is the female form. In the USA, Kristen is a little more common than Kristin, and it is used exclusively for girls.
