Kynan

I absolutely love the name Kynan pronouced KIE (like pie) NAN! I don't know what it means and i've never found it in any name book.

This is a form of the Scottish surname MacCianain, which is derived from the man's name Cianan. Cianan perhaps comes from the Gaelic word cian meaning "ancient; enduring." It can also be a form of MacFhionghuin, which may be a Pictish name meaning "fair-born" or be from Irish Gaelic meaning "kin-slayer."
