- Lucinda Bluebell: This would be my first daughters name. Lucinda- I love it! It is so pretty, it means 'beautiful light' and is also the name of my favourite book's prinicipal character (Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey) Bluebell would be after my Grandma who I love to bits!
- Lucinda Jane: I like the nicknames Lucy or Lulu, but since I have a short "nickname name", I also appreciate having a long form. Jane is my mother's middle name, and since she hates her first name and has asked us not to bestow it upon future generations, that's how I can acknowledge her. (Interesting side note...Lucinda and Jane are the names of the two dolls in Beatrix Potter's "Tale of Two Bad Mice" for you children's literature buffs.)
Lucia represents an elaboration of the name Lucia. It was first coined by Miguel Cervantes for his 1605 novel Don Quixote.
