Lynette

A delicate, musical name.

Lynette is a French form of Eluned or Luned, Welsh names meaning "image; idol." It was first used in English by Alfred, Lord Tennyson for his poem "Gareth and Lynette," part of his Idylls of the King, which was published in the mid 1800s. Though it has separate origins, since the 20th century Lynette has been sometimes used as a diminutive form of Lynn.
