Mara

• I say it like Sarah with a M. It is my middle name and people have always found it unique so we named our daughter that!
• i think this is a great girls name and suggests a carefree, spirited little nymph.
• Mara Jade: I combined two great names to get this one. The name sounds strong but feminine, confident but sweet.  She sounds like she knows what she is up against and she’s ready to face it.

In Hebrew, this means "bitter." In the Old Testament, Naomi says, upon returning to Bethlehem after her husband and sons have died, "Call me not Naomi, call me Mara, for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me." [Ruth 1:20]
