Melantha

This is one of my favorite names ever! It's Greek for "Dark Flower", and also I had friends named Melanie and Samantha in school, and this is a nice way of combining them.

Possibly the first sighting of the name Melantha was in English poet/author John Dryden's 17th century play Marriage a la Mode. He probably based it on the Greek elements meli meaning "honey" and anthos meaning "flower."
