(pronounced mih-RAHL) From Star Trek: Voyager; the name of Tom Parris and B'Elanna Torres' daughter...it is a "Klingon" name. I thought that this was a beautiful and feminine name the first time I heard it, especially when it is pronounced with a French accent (when the 'r' has a slight 'w' sound to it). The m's and l's are delicate, lending the name it's feminine quality, yet it isn't overly girlish or cheerleader-like. In my opinion, this would be a wonderful name for someone looking to give their daughter a unique name, yet it's not entirely over-the-top.
