Morgan
- This is currently my #1, but has only been so for a short while and I suspect that William will win out in the end. It's okay for a girl, but to me it is a more masculine name.
- Cute name with a neat meaning; also the first name of my favorite baseball player. It's short and sweet and perfect for a little boy or a grown man.
- I absolutely love this name. It has such a neat sound and it's not too unusual, but not ultra common either.
- I love this name for a boy OR girl. I think Morgans are sweet and fun-loving.
- - A wonderful BOY'S name meaning "from the sea's edge." One of my pet peeves is hearing about little girls named Morgan and Dylan and Tristan. I find it sad that when I mention liking the name Morgan, someone always says, "But isn't that a girl's name?"
- means "A sea dweller; born by the sea" and sounds masculine, although no doubt is being stolen as a girl's name!
- a strong sounding name
- My male dog's name is MORGAN RHYS LLEWELLYN, which is Welsh for "lion-like."
Morgan is a Welsh name which is so ancient, its meaning is disputed. Its first syllable comes from either mor meaning "sea" or mawr meaning "great." Its second syllable is derived from either can meaning "bright" or cant meaning "circle." In Wales, Morgan is a man's name only; it only become used for girls (outside Wales) in the 20th century.
