Neve
I love this name, and despite the fact that there is a well-known actress with the same name, it doesn't seem to have caught on. None of the baby name books even mention it. It is feminine, mystical and very British. English I think, and it means "new". What more suitable name for a baby girl?
As far as I know, Neve Campbell (the actress who brought this name into the spotlight) was named after her Dutch mother's maiden name. Ms. Campbell pronounces it /NEV/ (like the first syllable in "never"). Occasionally you see it pronounced /NEEV/ as people use it as an anglicization of Niamh.
