Owen
- I think it's a great name and not too popular
- means "born to nobility". The name almost sounds trendy in an old Irish way. I also think of the hilarious character off of the English Britcom "Vicar of Dibley".
- Cute yet strong name. Nickname "O" is cool.
- My favorite name for a boy is Owen. I know it's on your list, but there is another meaning that I would like to share with you. In my baby name book it says that Owen means "Young Warrior", is Welsh and is a form of Evan.
- its short and I just like it cause there's not enough boy's names beginning with O.
- Owen Daniel ~ Owen has been one of my favorites for a very long time. It's not too popular but it's still pronouncable. Owen means "gracious gift of God" and I think that's what every child is. Daniel is after my dad; it means "judgement of God."
- Owen Luke - I like Owen because it's different but not too weird, I like Luke because it's a saint name, and most importantly I love the Wilson
brothers!!!
Owen is a Welsh name, a modern form of Owain. This name may possibly be a form of Eugene (Greek, meaning "well-born"). It may also be from an older Celtic god name, stemming from eoghunn meaning "youth." It has occasionally been used in Ireland as an anglicization of the name Eoghan.
