Perri

Perri Ann: This was a name of a girl I went to school with. I think this is a great name---not too feminine or masculine, easy to spell, and it will work for a Supreme Court judge or a little girl.

Perri is probably a form of Perry, an English surname that has been used as a first name from time to time. Perry may be derived from "pear," denoting a person who lived near a pear tree, or else it can be the anglicization of the Welsh name ap Harry, meaning "son of Harry." Lots of "p" surnames were formed this way-- Pryce = ap Rhys, Palin = ap Heilyn etc.
