Rachel
- Simple, plain, and to the point. Also, one of my cousins and one of my friends have this name, and both are friendly folks who get along well with others. Hence, this is a fine name and it connotes friendship and trust.
- It's not unusual at all but it still strikes a fancy in me. The name strikes me as a woman who would be mysterious, shy, and very quiet. I've rarely heard this name around. Probably by the time I am ready to have kids, it'll be popular. My very first friend in kindergarten was named Rachel and I never forgot it since then. The name has always been special to me.
- Rachel Lee: is from the actress Rachel Lee Cook. I love the name Rachel and Lee together. The name is very pretty, honest, and strait forward. The girl would be very proud of her name. Hopefully, the girl would grow to be as pretty as the real Rachel Lee Cook.
- Rachel Lorraine - The names of both of my grandmothers who were and are very inspirational to me and people that I can always count on to be there, I think Rachel is more modern than Lorraine, and Lorraine just balances out the harsher sounding Rachel. I also think it's just a very elegant and timeless name.
A biblical name, in Hebrew, Rachel means "ewe."
